A graduate of Paris DAUPHINE University and holder of a DESS in Finance from SCIENCES PO, Carine BEIGBEDER began her career in 1995 in London as a buy-side financial analyst at PUTNAM INVESTMENTS, where she covered the luxury/retail sectors in Europe. She then joined MERRILL LYNCH as a sell-side analyst, where she covered the agri-food sector, until March 2000.
After this experience in the financial markets, Carine had several entrepreneurial experiences. She joined the SELF TRADE group in 2000 and created the research department there. She was then successively a member of the board of directors of POWEO, one of the founders of the online private sales site BAZARCHIC, and founder of the company PACK&FLY. Since 2020, Carine has been at the head of BOURRIENNE PARIS X, a high-end shirt brand, which is developing both digitally and in physical retail, in France and abroad (mainly Japan).
In 2012, she joined the management company FINANCIERE ARBEVEL, to launch the PLUVALCA INITIATIVES PME fund, which she managed for 8 years. This fund won numerous awards (including the Lipper for the best Small & MidCaps fund over 3 and 5 years), and posted a net performance of +16.5% per year annualized over the period (+198% between 2012 and 2020). In November 2016, Carine BEIGBEDER was voted “8th best fund manager in the world” by Citywire.
At the same time, Carine is also a member of the Supervisory Board of AUDACIA and a member of the Investment Committee where she plays an active role in the selection of unlisted SMEs.
She is also a member of the board of directors and chair of the audit committee of DELPHARM (industrial group with a turnover of over 1 billion, one of the Top 5 global CDMOs).
